New entity filings in Q3 2024 decreased 5.3% year-over-year and 3.3% quarter-over-quarter. The seasonal decrease from Q2 to Q3 occurred at a slower-than-average rate. Colorado’s labor market slowed slightly in the third quarter, but still remained tight. Colorado’s job opening rate ranked 4th-highest nationally in September, and the ratio of job openings to the number of unemployed individuals remained above the national average (1.2 versus 1.1). Colorado continued to record growth in jobs and income.
