HyunJoo Oh received a PhD in Technology, Media& Society. She wasco-advised by Mark D. Gross,professor of computer science and director of the ATLAS Institute, and Michael Eisenberg, professor of computer science. HyunJooholds two master’s degrees: one from Carnegie Mellon University in entertainment technology and onein media interaction design fromEwha Woman’s University, South Korea. She works on digital craft, tangible interaction and creative play. By encouraging deep engagement in playful environments, sheseeks to inspire children to actively explore their ideas, while bridging the digital and physical worlds. HyunJoo iscurrently an assistant professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), with a joint appointment in the School of Industrial Design and the School of Interactive Computing.
