Professor Steve Leigh was awarded the Gabriel W. Lasker service award for his service as AABA president during COVID.听听Dr. Leigh's nomination emphasized "his unwavering generosity, and the incredible level of graciousness he brought to his leadership roles." He was serving as VP and Program Chair when the COVID pandemic began, and guided the organization with transparency and wisdom as we had to cancel meetings and transition quickly to online resources. Since then, he has served as President and now, as Past-President, continues to help lead AABA. "He has demonstrated a heartfelt commitment to service that makes academia a better place."
