The CU Boulder Asian Studies Graduate Association (CUBASGA) invites submissions for its annual graduate student conference, to be held remotely via ZOOM care of University of Colorado, Boulder facilities onÌýFebruary 19th & 20th, 2022.

Current graduate students from across the US and around the world are encouraged to submit proposals on any aspect of Asian culture. We invite a broad range of research interests including, but not limited to, the following fields: Anthropology, Art and Art History, Literature, Economics, Ethnic Studies, Ethnomusicology, Film Studies, Geography, History, Linguistics, Philosophy, Political Science, Religion, Sociology, Theatre and Dance, Urban and Regional Planning, and Women’s Studies.

The conference will include keynote addresses by two prominent scholars in Chinese and Japanese studies, (Assistant Professor of Chinese literature and thought, Dept. of East Asian Languages & Literatures, Yale University) and (Professor of Religious Studies & East Asian Cultures, International Foundation Chair in Shinto Studies, Chair of Religious Studies, UCSB). Keynote speakers and University of Colorado faculty will be on hand to provide feedback to presenters throughout the conference. Above all, the conference is a forum through which graduate students, researchers, and faculty are able to engage in dialogue benefiting our respective fieldsÌýandÌýproviding opportunities for expanding horizons and opening new perspectives for our academic pursuits.
