Meet Instructor Alexandra Le Moine

Alexandra Le Moine

Alexandra Le Moine is joining the Ann and H.J. Smead Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences as a new instructor.Ìý She has a dual BS in Aerospace Engineering and Mathematical Sciences from the Florida Institute of Technology along with a MS in Mechanical Engineering from University of Wisconsin.

Prior to joining the department, she worked as a research assistant at University of Maryland’s Alfred Gessow Rotorcraft Center. Additionally, she worked as a research engineer for Convergent Science, a computational fluid dynamics software company specializing in internal combustion engines for the automotive industry.Ìý

Alexandra is passionate about engineering education and believes in a learner-centered pedagogy. Her goal is to incorporate and support modern engineering education practices in the classroom to help promote the successful education and professional development of the AES students. Alexandra’s academic interests are in computational fluid dynamics, scientific computing, and thermal-fluid sciences.
