Students living in the Gunnison area can earn a bachelor’s degree in computer science from CU Boulder through our innovative partnership with Western Colorado University.

  

Our partnership program in computer science allows students to gain knowledge and awareness of computing at all levels. Students explore circuits and computer architecture, operating systems, and programming languages while learning about theoretical and mathematical aspects of computing. Students in the partnership program complete their CU Boulder undergraduate degree while remaining on the Western Colorado University campus in Gunnison, Colorado.

Academic Plan & Requirements

Students interested in the partnership program should apply for admission to Western Colorado University as a first-year or transfer student. After about two years at Western Colorado University, students then apply to CU Boulder through an expedited admissions process.
